Melanin is a natural pigment crucial for photoprotection against UV radiation. In humans and plants, melanin biosynthesis involves a multistage chemical process performed by enzymes called tyrosinases. Recent research has suggested possible defensive role, and this project aims to divulge the antiviral mechanism of melanogenesis enzymes toward application in biomedical and biotechnological industries.
This research will give rise to paradigm-shifting fundamental discoveries and impactful publications in outstanding scientific journal.
This project is open for collaboration from seven (7) researchers all over the world.
